Birthday Time – MS R turning 6~

Birthday time!!! This year Little Ms R is turning 6, its crazy to think back when I first met her at 11 months old.. She has become such an amazing little girl. So this year her theme for her birthday party is Jem and the Holograms! Which is totally outrageous, As a little girl her age that was my favorite show. A few weeks ago I turned it on Netflix and she fell in love.

So for this birthday party I will be creating custom garland to hang, this will include cutouts of microphones, guitars, and the Jem Logo (maybe even the Star earrings!) then I will be sewing Ms R her very own Jem dress complete with fringed belt I will be making her some Synergy earrings for her to say, “Showtime Synergy” (she does this now at home, we play along and pretend we don’t know who she is until she says “Shows over Synergy” hehe.. kids are so much fun!

I will be making cupcake topper that will be the faces of Jem and the Holograms attached to toothpicks like last years Hello Kitty Party. In the invite to friends and family I added that everyone could dress up in their favorite 80′s clothing to get into the spirit of Jem.

This is going to be totally awesome!

I will be posting a tutorial on how to make the Jem dress… once I make it.

Busy Birthday and Sewing Bee!

With planning a Birthday and sewing up a storm, I have been one busy bee the last week. We have been finishing up cleaning and removing the clutter from the house.

I received a custom order for a cell phone case. So I used a scanned copy of the cell phone from the client to create a pattern for the item she wanted. I LOVED the finished product so much I made 12 more! Also I made a few more clutches and took them to Clash Consignment for sale.

These Clutches and Cell phone cases are so fun, I made myself a new clutch to go with the green polka dot case. I have received a lot of “That is so cute!
