18.2 LBS!
Well this morning I did my final weigh in, I pledged to lose 20 lbs and fell short by 1.8 lbs which isn’t horrible. The last 16 weeks taught me a lot, focus, eat good, take care of myself, be a roll model to someone that needs that little push, have confidence, and over all love myself.
I did this not only to try to win money, but also to show myself that it is possible to keep my eye on a goal. I am still going to work at getting those last lbs off and to maintain the weight.
I couldn’t have done this without the support of my family, friends and co-workers. Keep your eye on the prize and don’t sway! Good luck, Good Health and all that jazz!
Down to the final stretch of the challenge! 5 lbs to my goal weight of 120! I can’t tell you how hard the first 3 weeks were, adjusting to eating healthier and less. I have found it easier as the weeks pasted to make better choices when eating out and at home. Instead of getting dessert after eating I opt out since my belly is usually feeling just right and not stuffed. As easy as it is to just eat that one more piece or taste that one thing at the work carry in.. its not worth undoing all the hard work I have put in.
I also find that the more water I drink the more I crave and the less hungry I feel after drinking a glass, I am starting to think that maybe Americans tend to think when we are hungry all the time and really our bodies are telling us we are dehydrated. This journey is almost up but I have a good feeling that I will be able to stick to this new way of making choices in my life entirely.
I challenge you to try eating more fruits, veggies weekly, start small you can’t just change it all at once and expect it to work out. The best thing is to take it slow and build into it, it will be a long road but I think in the long run… its better to go a little a week and stick with it then to over do yourself and get frustrated and quit…
another challenge try drinking a glass of water when you feel hungry, see if it actually is your body telling you it wants hydrated.. you will be surprised how much cutting down on soda will do for your weight-loss goals!
Good Luck and Good Health!

So far on my quest to loose weight and win “the Biggest Loser” at work, I have managed to loose 9 lbs out of my 20lb goal.
I got this Iphone app that is pretty awesome called LOSEIT its pretty awesome at tracking and keeping up with my food intake, and weigh-ins.
I have been eating a lot healtier than before, I never really realised what crap I was eating before and how much I was ingesting on a day to day bases. Now I am to a 900 cal diet without excerise. The next week or two I will start working out enabling me to eat 1200 a day. Which will be basically another meal.
I am enjoying my progress and hope to have more to report in the upcoming weeks.
The first step on my 20lb journey will have to be eating healthier.
Not to say that I now stuff my face with fast food and grease, but just building on what I already do. I rarely eat out except while I am at work. At home we tend to cook a lot, with 2 little ones depending on us to show them how to eat healthy and keeping it delicious. This in itself is normally pretty easy as we all tend to enjoy our veggies and pasta.. however the house is split when it comes down to meat…
This causes all of us to eat the fake stuff while at home, not that I couldn’t cook up a piece of chicken or eat a turkey sandwich (which I do every now and then). Its just tough when it comes to figuring out what to cook. You can only eat pasta so many times and then get burnt out and growing up in a house where we ate meat and I learned to cook dinners using it. So when it comes to my night to cook, sometimes it is a little frustrating.
I joined a site (http://www.eatbetteramerica.com) which hopefully will give me some tasty ideas when it comes to dinner. The best part is we can substitute the real chicken, turkey, etc. with the fake stuff. (Honestly it is very tasty)
